Welcome Father Moerman!

Dear Parishioners,

Being my first weekend here at Annunciation BVM parish, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Fr. Moerman, and I was ordained a priest on May 21,1994.

I grew up in Springfield, Delaware County where I attended St. Kevin grade school and Cardinal O’HARA High School. [I relay this information with some hesitation knowing there are many Bonner and Prendie graduates among you.]

Archbishop Pérez has named me pastor of your parish as of June 16th, and I leave my previous assignment of St. Isaac Jogues in Wayne after 14 years. Of course, I can now say “OUR parish.” I look forward to ministering to you and thank your previous pastors for all of their hard work especially most recently Frs. Loomis and Cox.

Pastor means shepherd, but, ultimately, Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd that guides us and protects us with His Divine grace. May His mother, Mary, and the Angel Gabriel watch over us as well.

Let us pray for each other,

Fr. Moerman
